AD System Design

UNCOMPLICATED WORLD LEADER

Advanced technology can actually be uncomplicated.

Our pumps feature smart solutions that make them better in a range of applications. The design means that maintenance and service can be performed quickly and cost-effectively since all parts are easily accessible - even when the pump is still connected in the pipe system. Take a look at the diaphragms, for example. They are easy to get at and therefore easily replaced. In- and outtake valves, valve cage and shaft can be released by simply removing two screws. The air motor has internal mechanical connections to the pump unit and can be taken out and serviced without having to disassemble the fluid carrying parts of the pump. Even the heart of the air motor, the FPV (Frictionless Pivoting Valve) is easy to get at.

Oily, clean or dirty. Still it is recommended to install a filter/regulator combination.

All pumps are available in ATEX certified version.

Deplacement per cycle:

 Pump type  Liters (2 strokes)
AD30 ca 0,06
AD60 ca 0,2
AD120 ca 0,5

Matching of pump sizes vs traditional AODD pumps:

Albin AD

vs.

Traditional AODD

 AD30   1/4 - 1/2 inch (6,35 – 12,7mm)
 AD60   1/2 - 3/4 inch (12,7 – 19,05mm)
 AD120   1 inch (25,40mm)

Max inlet pressure
The pump can be installed with a positive suction head. Tests with a 3 m positive liquid column on the suction side
have been carried out without any problems. In theory the pump will start and operate as long as the air supply
pressure is higher than the inlet liquid pressure

Temperature Limitations

Do not exceed the recommended operating temperatures of the pump. The maximum temperature limitations are
based on mechanical stress only and various liquids/ chemicals may reduce the maximum safe operating temperatures
of the pumps.

Diaphragms: PTFE can operate continuously between -30ºC and +85ºC.

Pump housing: PP (polypropylene) can be used in the interval ±0ºC and +85ºC.
Aluminium can be used in the same interval as the diaphragms.

Sound level ratings:
The following values were measured from an AD60, pumping water at 7 bar air pressure and fully open inlet and discharge ports. The readings were made at a distance of 1 (one) metre on the same level as the pump:

 Front

 Left

 Right

 Behind

79.5 dB(A)

75.5 dB(A)

74.9 dB(A)

72.6 dB(A)

Dry running
The Albin Pump AD can run dry without damaging the pump components. For extended periods of dry running, however, a certain wear of the shaft bushing will occur.

Rest volumes:
 Pump type  ml
AD30 45 ml
AD60 90 ml
AD120 200 ml

If the product discharge line is closed the following volumes will remain in the pump:
 Pump type  ml
AD30 90 ml
AD60 80 ml
AD120 400 ml
